A health site that shows its sources.
HealthCure Guide started with a simple frustration: searching for a remedy returns pages that are either selling it or dismissing it without looking. We wanted a third option. Read the research, write it in plain English, cite everything, and say when the answer is "we do not know yet".
What we cover
Natural remedies, over-the-counter supplements and everyday habits for common conditions: digestion, sleep, pain, blood sugar, immunity, skin, and the hormonal health questions people search for most. We do not cover prescription drugs in depth, and we do not give individual medical advice.
How a guide is researched
Each guide starts with the question people actually type into a search engine. From there, the writer pulls the strongest available evidence in this order:
- Systematic reviews and meta-analyses of human trials.
- Individual randomised controlled trials.
- Observational studies, labelled as such.
- Mechanistic, animal or cell studies, used only to explain how something might work, never to claim that it does.
We report the doses and durations used in the studies, not the ones printed on a product label. Where the evidence is weak or mixed, the guide says so in the summary at the top and again in the body.
Updates and corrections
Guides carry a visible "Updated" date. We revisit them when a significant new trial or guideline is published, or when a reader points out an error. Corrections are made in the text and noted at the bottom of the guide. To report a mistake, email [email protected].
Affiliate links and money
Some guides include links to products. If you buy through one of those links we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Three rules govern this:
- The verdict is written before any product link is added, and the link does not change it.
- We never recommend a product the evidence does not support, however well it pays.
- Any page with affiliate links says so near the top. The full policy is in the disclaimer.
What we are not
We are writers and researchers, not your doctor. Nothing here is a diagnosis or a treatment plan. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on medication or managing a chronic illness, talk to a clinician before trying anything you read about here.
