  • To dissolve gallstones lemon juice mixed with olive oil is used.
  • People suffering from urinary tract infections and high uric acid problems lemon is benificial in such problems as it is a diuretic.
  • In heartburn problem, a teaspoon of lemon juice in half a glass of water relieves the problem.
  • Dilute lemon juice with water and gargle frequently for sore throat.
  • A slice of lemon bound over a corn overnight will greatly relieve the pain.
  • If you have an itchy, flaky scalp, massage in 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Rinse with warm water. Follow with a leave-in rinse of 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in 1 cup of warm water repeat daily until problem disappears.
  • Take a tablespoon of lemon juice one hour before each meal to relieve asthma.
  • The juice of the lemon should be taken in a glass of hot water one hour before breakfast every morning if you have liver complaints.
  • Take 2-3 drops in a diffuser or steam inhalation as a tonic after an illness, to boost the immune system. Continue taking for 2-3 days.
  • On wasp and bee stings to relieve pain, use pure lemon juice.

  • Mix 2-3 drops with unscented shampoo for oily hair.
  • Mix 2-3 drops of oil in 1 ounce of water for oily skin.
  • Lemon juice can be use as a skin toner, place on cotton ball, and apply to skin as a toner.
  • Mix 2-3 drops in 1 ounce of carrier oil and massage onto scar regularly to soften scar tissue.
  • To relieve dry, rough skin rinse hands and feet in lemon juice and water. Massage a little olive oil into the dry areas and pat dry.
  • Soak a cotton ball or pad with lemon juice and hold it over the injury for a full minute to stop the bleeding and disinfect small scrapes and cuts.
